Eligibility

To be eligible for Health & Welfare benefits as a retiree, you must be receiving a Regular or Service pension and have earned pension credit for at least 700 hours in three of last five calendar years immediately preceding the year in which your pension becomes effective.

OR

You must be receiving an Early or Disability pension and are at least age 55 with 25 years of pension credit and have earned pension credit for at least 700 hours in three of last five calendar years immediately preceding the year in which your pension becomes effective.

Once you become Medicare eligible, all retiree Health & Welfare benefits will terminate.

Retiree Co-Pay

The monthly cost for retiree health coverage is $175 for single coverage, $350 for two-party coverage, and $175 for each additional dependent covered.
