Prescription Drug Plan

 

If you are enrolled in an HMO or EPO medical plan, your prescription drugs are covered by the HMO or EPO.

 

Medco Effective July 1, 2006, if you are enrolled in the Fee-for-Service Medical Plan, you are covered by Medco.

Under the Medco Plan, you may take your prescription to a participating pharmacy or you may use the Medco mail order pharmacy.  To contact Medco, call 800-987-7836 or visit www.medco.com.

Note: Using preferred drugs helps control costs for you and your plan while still providing you with the medications you need to stay healthy.

Effective 1/1/2011, the Plan is no longer covering the nonsedating antihistamines and erectile dysfunction drugs.  If you are taking these prescription drugs and choose to purchase it on or after 1/1/2011, you will be responsible for the full cost of the medication, but at a discounted rate.  This will apply whether you are filling a new prescription or requesting a refill.
